Notes

  • highlighted the need for a national regulator
  • the AUQA(Australian Universities Quality Agency) made 19 recommendations against ECGI(East Coast Gestalt Institute)
  • the federal government was criticised to established the new Tertiary Education Quality and Standard Agency
  • lefe state accrediting bodies understaffed, underresourcedand underskilled
  • ECGI the owner of the accredited courses, doesn't run them
  • confusing to potential students

Summary

The federal goverment was criticised for seeking to build up the new Tertiary Eduacation Quality and Standards Agency, as the result of highlighting the need for a national regulator from a gestalt therapy training company. While East Coast Gestalt institute received 19 recommendtion from the Australian Universities Quality Agency .

Personal Reflection

As the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency,it may influence significantly about the future of the international students..The agency usually get a big amount of money from the international student, and promise them some thing like "permanant resident after the eduation period",but in fact ,they oftenly break the promise at the end of the eduation.

And unfortunely, nobody will stand up to present the international student,so i think the federal goverment should approve the arrangement of this area..
